The National Coalition of ESEA Title I Parents is a grassroots National Parent Advocacy Organization. The Coalition seeks to build a network of parents who advocate for full parental rights in the education of their children.
In addition, the Coalition advocates for meaningful involvement/engagement and responsibility of parents in the education of disadvantage children.

The mission of the Coalition is to help economically disadvantaged parents develop the necessary skills and abilities needed to make sound decisions that result in improving the quality of their children's education.
The Coalitions National Parent Center was established through a grant in 1976 awarded by the Carnegie Corporation. The Center administers NCTIC1P programs and serves as a clearinghouse for information concerning parent involvement and education for disadvantage children.
The purpose of our Center is to:

- Promotean exchange of knowledge, experiences and ideas between parents and educators concerning educational programs.
- Inform parents about the laws, regulations and guideline of the Title I program.
- Developresources and materials that assist parents and others to understand their roles in the Title I program.
- Serve as a link between parents, U.S. Department of Education, state education agencies and local education agencies.
- Provide parents with information about their right to be involved in federal education programs.
- Provide technical assistance to parents in their attempts to organize into an effective force in their local communities.
- Monitor federal agency activity which may adversely affect education programs and the role of parents in those programs.
